Three Trump Campaign Officials Were Directly Involved In Harassment Of An Elderly Georgia Election Worker

Trumpers Trevian Kutti and Garrison Douglas pressuring election worker Ruby Freeman to confess to a bogus election fraud scheme at a Georgia police station(Jan 4, 2021)

A troubling segment on MSNBCโ€™s Rachel Maddow Show (12/22/21) revealed that three Trump campaign officials were directly involved in the harassment of an elderly Georgia election worker, Ruby Freeman, who they tried to extort into confessing to a bogus election fraud claim pushed by then President Trump. The officials in question are Harrison Floyd, a Black Voices for Trump Executive Director, who until November 2020, was a paid Trump campaign staffer, Trevian Kutti, a publicist for Trumpโ€™s Rapper buddy Kanye West(now Ye), and Garrison Douglas, another Black Voices for Trump member who apparently, was also working for the Georgia Republican Party at the time of this harassment scheme.

Trevian Kutti is the woman in the dark outfit, seen in the video pressuring election worker Ruby Freeman to confess in 48 hours, if she wants to avoid getting arrested, and as a condition for her getting โ€œprotectionโ€. The man sitting on the right of Trevian Kutti as she issues her threats, is Garrison Douglas, who at the time, was working for the Georgia Republican Party, and is also a member of the Black Voices For Trump. The โ€œhigh-profile individualโ€ who Trevian Kutti got on the phone with, who was supposedly going to โ€œprotectโ€ Ruby Freeman, and keep her out of jail if she confessed in 48 hours, is Harrison Floyd, the Executive Director of Black Voices for Trump. Harrison Floyd was until November 2020, a paid Trump campaign staffer. Thereโ€™s no question that this shameful harassment scheme was a full blown Trump operation geared towards stopping the certification of Joe Bidenโ€™s electoral college victory, scheduled for January 6th.

Maddow said: โ€œJust step back here for a moment, just appreciate what we now know happened here. This is in the midst of what at this point, is already a weeks-long pressure campaign by President Trump and his allies in Georgia. Everybody from President Trump and his lawyer Rudy Giuliani, and everybody on down, is hyping this wackadoodle conspiracy theory about a random Atlanta election worker, and her being like the mastermind of the crime. They are doing that in order to justify getting Republican officials in Georgia to overturn the election results and say that Trump won. That election worker is getting threatened like you cannot believe. She is in fear for her life under an onslaught of harassment and threats, and in the midst of that, three people involved with the Trump campaign, one of whom until recently had been a high profile Trump campaign employee, another who works for the Republican Party, they arrange to show up at this womanโ€™s house and try to get her to admit to election fraud because then they can protect her. And the deadline they gave her was very specificโ€“48 hoursโ€ฆ.Why was it so important that they get to her before that 48 hours was up? Well, at the end of that 48 hours, remember that conversation happened on January 4th, 48 hours after that was the certification of Joe Bidenโ€™s win in Congress, the thing Trump and his allies were trying to stop at all costs.โ€

Maddow went on to add that on January 6th, as the insurrection was playing out in real time, a bunch of Trumpers surrounded Ruby Freemanโ€™s house in Atlanta, and shouted at her through a bullhorn. Any reasonable person presented with Maddowโ€™s account of this incident would conclude that Ruby Freemanโ€™s harassers were not just some random Trump supporters arbitrarily going out of their way to inflict pain on her, but rather that they were part of an elaborate scheme to force a bogus confession out of her, which they could then use to overturn the Georgia election results, and stop the scheduled January 6th certification in Congress. Simply put, these were conspirators to a crime.

Bottom line folks, the January 6th Committee definitely needs to look into who was giving orders to these three Trumpers in this very elaborate scheme to (1) overturn Georgiaโ€™s 2020 election results and (2) to put a stop to the scheduled January 6th Congressional certification of Bidenโ€™s electoral college win. The public deserves to know who else was working with these three shady characters, as they terrorized an innocent, and elderly election worker. Thatโ€™s the least the January 6th Committee can do for poor Ruby Freemanโ€™s tormented family.

Senator Shaheen Says Havana Syndrome Most Likely Caused By โ€œMicrowave Directed Energy Attacksโ€

$upport via Cash App

Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) appeared on MSNBCโ€™s Andrea Mitchell Reports (12/15/21), where she gave an update on the investigation into the causes/origins of Havana Syndrome. Senator Shaheen said Russia remains the chief suspect, adding that she agrees with the assessment of the National Academy of Sciences, that these are most likely โ€œmicrowave directed energy attacks.โ€

Sen Shaheen said part of the defense authorization bill currently being debated in Congress, seeks to provide a coordinator who will look into Havana Syndrome cases across all federal agencies, and keep Congress apprised on any new findings.

Sen Shaheen told host Andrea Mitchell:โ€œWhat we want is a coordinator, not just within the various agencies where theyโ€™ve had personnel attacked, but also someone who can coordinate the entire effort, and thatโ€™s part of the amendment thatโ€™s in the defense bill, as well as a regular reporting to Congress. We want to know exactly whatโ€™s going on so that we can respond. Itโ€™s very troubling that this happened years ago, five years ago, and we still donโ€™t know whoโ€™s responsible, we donโ€™t know exactly the cause of the attacks, and weโ€™re not sure whoโ€™s doing it.โ€

Neither Senator Shaheen nor MSNBCโ€™s Andrea Mitchel addressed the growing elephant-in-the-room question regarding directed energy attacks, and that is, growing complaints by regular civilians in the U.S.(not diplomats), who claim to be victims of directed energy attacks, leaving them with symptoms of Havana Syndromeโ€“complaints similar to the one below. Will the designated Havana Syndrome coordinator also hear from such regular civilians and report back to Congress? Hmm

Bottom line folks, the U.S. constitution intended for members of Congress to function as representatives of their constituents. Where, as here, we have Congress totally ignoring cries from regular civilians(their constituents) of directed energy attacks, while at the same time enacting a scheme to compensate and treat similarly afflicted government employees, one can only conclude that the era of representative government is long goneโ€“a sad state of affairs indeed. At some point, hopefully soon, Congress will have to entertain Havana Syndrome complaints from regular civilians. Then, and only then, will the public have confidence in the governmentโ€™s investigation into Havana Syndrome.

Moderate House Dems Shoot Down AOCโ€™s Intel Oversight Amendment

$upport via Cash App

On 12/9/21 Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-NY) introduced an amendment(Amendment 148 to H.R. 5314โ€“Protect Our Democracy Act), that would have restored the oversight powers Congress always intended the Government Accountability Office(GAO) to have, including over our intelligence agencies. Our intelligence agencies, as everyone knows, are notoriously impervious to any Congressional oversight, and often hide behind a vague 1988 Department of Justice opinion to justify their need for secrecy. Rep Ocasio-Cortezโ€™s amendment would have taken away that cover, ensuring much-needed transparency from our intelligence agencies. Surprisingly, 23 Centrist Democrats voted with House Republicans to kill her amendment.

As Rep Ocasio-Cortez correctly pointed out on the House floor, given the kinds of abuses weโ€™ve witnessed during Trumpโ€™s presidency, it is only prudent that we restore GAOโ€™s oversight powers over all federal agencies, including our intelligence agencies. Any reasonable person would agree, that it is foolhardy to assume that former President Trump abused all other federal agencies for his selfish political interests, except our intelligence apparatus, the easiest ones to abuse given the secrecy with which they are allowed to operate.

Rep Ocasio-Cortez said on the House floor: โ€œSince itโ€™s creation in 1921, the Government Accountability Office(GAO) has had the purview to conduct oversight of all federal agencies with the goal of reducing waste, fraud and abuse, and holding accountable bad actors. However and unfortunately, most of our intelligence agencies today are not fully cooperative with the GAO, pointing to an outdated and vague 1988 Department of Justice opinion. Our amendment would allow the GAO to act as a check on this behavior, not creating new powers, but restoring the power Congress always intended the GAO to have. This amendment is welcomed by many in the intelligence community, who want to protect their important work and resources from abuse, particularly after the last presidency we just endured. We drafted this amendment in partnership with the community and Iโ€™m proud to have the support of Representative Adam Schiff who serves as the Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. In fact many of my colleagues have already taken a stand in support of this legislation because in 2010, the House passed a virtually identical amendment.โ€

The amendment failed with a final tally of 233 nays, 196 yeas, with 4 members not voting. Among the 233 nays were 23 Centrist Democrats who Yours Truly is compelled to name. The nay Dems included Reps Cynthia Axne(IA), Cheri Bustos(IL), Matt Cartwright(PA), Angie Craig(MN), Antonio Delgado(NY), Val Demings(FL), Jared Golden(ME), Josh Gottheimer(NJ), Chrissy Houlahan(PA), Conor Lamb(PA), Susie Lee(NV), Elaine Luria(VA), Tom Oโ€™Halleran(AZ), Chris Pappas(NH), Kurt Schrader(OR), Kim Schrier(WA), Terri Sewell(AL), Mikie Sherrill(NJ), Abigail Spanberger(VA), David Trone(MD), Filemon Vela(TX), Jennifer Wexton(VA), Susan Wild(PA).

Ever since the Patriot Act was enacted after the terrorist attacks of September 11 2001, there have been growing calls from civil libertarians and others, for there to be some checks on the almost absolute powers we granted our intelligence agencies after the 9/11 attacks. The reasoning behind this is pretty simpleโ€“power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. Fast forward to the Trump administration and the abuses we witnessed occurring across all federal agenciesโ€“(DOJ being used for the Big Lie, Military on Black Lives Matter protesters in DC, numerous abuses of DHS, โ€œfailureโ€ by our intel agencies to anticipate Jan 6th insurrection)โ€“ and the need to look into our intel agencies becomes an absolute necessity. Itโ€™s against this backdrop that Rep Ocasio-Cortez, with the support of many in the intel community, are pushing for more transparency. One would assume given these set of circumstances, that more oversight would be a no-brainer for Democrats, but apparently not.

Concerns about possible abuses of our intel agencies run the gamut, from the mundane warrantless snooping of our electronic communications (emails, texts, voicemails, etc), to much more serious allegations that if proven, constitute serious violations of our commitments under the United Nations Conventions Against Torture(CAT). These include allegations of 24/7 organized stalking, non-consensual for-profit human experimentation on people entered on terrorism watchlists by weapons manufacturers and others in Big Tech(remote neuromonitoring), militarized attacks on civilians(usually watchlisted) with directed energy weapons, manufactured terrorism cases, etc. These are serious human rights violations that can only come to light through proper oversight. It also bears pointing out that similar egregious abuses have in the past been attributed to our intel agencies, a recent good example being the non-consensual experimentation on U.S. civilians using radiation. President Clinton in 1995, did the just and moral thing by not only exposing this inhumane conduct, but also making whole the surviving victims. The same can be done today.

Bottom line folks, Rep Ocasio-Cortez deserves a lot of praise for pushing for reform on a topic most politicians, and quite frankly the mainstream media, have been terrified to venture into. One only hopes that she musters the courage to push on with it, despite the recent setback on the House floor. Simply put, time has come for our intel agencies to be subjected to some real oversight.

Jenna Ellis Circulated A Memo Detailing How They Would Overturn The Election On January 6th

$upport via Cash App

Donald Trump With His Campaign Lawyer Jenna Ellis

A bombshell report on ABCโ€™s This Week with George Stephanopoulos (11/14/21) reveals that among the documents former President Trump is fighting tooth and nail to keep away from the January 6th Committee, is a memo from Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis, which reportedly laid out in elaborate detail, exactly how they were going to overturn the election on January 6th to keep Trump in the White House. If this bombshell reporting holds, it will, blow away the defense commonly employed by Trumpers, that the January 6th insurrection was just some spontaneous rally that got out of hand. It will also for the first time put Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis right at the center of the insurrection.

Reporter Jonathan Karl told host George Stephanopoulos: โ€œThis is a very important document, George. On new yearโ€™s eve, it is from[Trumpโ€™s Chief of Staff] Meadows himself, forwarded to Mike Penceโ€™s Chief of Staff, and it outlines in very clear detail, what should be done on January 6th to effectively overturn the election, to effectively have a coup. This is Mark Meadows forwarding a memo, not from an outside lawyer, but from a lawyer for the campaign, Jenna Ellis.โ€

Any reasonable person presented with this bombshell news report would conclude that the events of January 6th were not some innocent rally gone bad, but rather a meticulously planned coup orchestrated by Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis and others. Jenna Ellis must be made to testify before the January 6th Committee as to who else was involved in drafting the detailed coup memo. Was Trump involved?

Bottom line folks, the January 6th Committee owes it to the public to follow through on any lead that brings us closer to the behind-the-scenes orchestrators of DC insurrection. Where, as here, it appears Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis may have been one of the masterminds behind the attempted coup, she must be hauled in to testify.

Rep Jim Jordanโ€™s Shifty Answers About His Convos With Trump On January 6th

$upport via Cash App

CNNโ€™s Brianna Keilar did an interesting segment on her New Day show (10/21/2021), where she explored Rep Jim Jordanโ€™s very shifty answers to questions about his conversations with then President Trump on January 6th 2021. It appears Rep Jim Jordanโ€™s accounts of his conversations with Trump on that fateful day appear to be changing with every subsequent interview, meaning he may be hiding, or attempting to hide some details about his interactions with Trump on that day.

After stating categorically in previous interviews that he spoke to Trump on January 6th, but only after the insurrection, the Ohio Congressman appears to be changing his tune lately, suggesting that he spoke to Trump on January 6th, but he doesnโ€™t know โ€œwhen those conversations happened.โ€ Basically, he now doesnโ€™t remember whether he spoke to Trump before or after the insurrection.

Any reasonable person presented with Rep Jim Jordanโ€™s conflicting statements as to whether he spoke to Trump before or after the January 6th insurrection will arrive at the same conclusion, and that is, Rep Jim Jordan is attempting to hide details of his January 6th conversations with Trump from the public. Rep Jordanโ€™s phone records on January 6th can solve this mystery instantly.

Bottom line folks, one doesnโ€™t have to be an experienced investigator to deduce from the CNN segment that Rep Jordan should be a person of interest for the January 6th Commission. Maybe, just maybe, heโ€™ll remember the exact time he spoke to Trump on January 6th, if he is forced to testify under oath.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo:โ€Texas Is Being Run From Maralagoโ€

$upport via Cash App

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo appeared on MSNBCโ€™s The Rachel Maddow Show (09/24/2021), where she blasted elected Republicans in Texas for giving in to former President Trumpโ€™s baseless demands for an audit into the stateโ€™s 2020 election results. The decision by the Texas Secretary of Stateโ€™s office to conduct an audit into the election results of Collin, Dallas, Harris and Tarrant counties, came literally a few hours after Trumpโ€™s demand, which led a visibly upset Judge Hidalgo to tell host Maddow that Texas was โ€œbeing run from Maralago.โ€

Judge Hidalgo told Maddow:โ€œWe have to remember we had incredibly successful elections here in Harris County in 2020. We had innovations that led to record turnouts from both parties, the highest in 30 years, I mean it was beautiful, and since then, no evidence has come out that would in any way cause the need for this kind of audit. All weโ€™ve seen is [former]President Trump exhorting the state, or [Governor]Abbott, to have this auditโ€ฆThe reality of it is Texas is being run from Maralago, and that is dangerous, and itโ€™s not appropriateโ€ฆitโ€™s extremely concerning.โ€

Judge Hidalgo added that time had come for politicians in Washington to get off the sidelines, and actively join the fight against voter suppression in the states, telling host Maddow, โ€œWe need the federal government to act, I mean, this has gone too farโ€ฆ This should be another call to action. Weโ€™ve got the writing on the wall. Weโ€™ve got to get off our chairs and get moving on all this.โ€

Bottom line folks, as Judge Hidalgo correctly pointed out, time has come for some decisive action to be taken against these naked efforts by Republicans at the state level, to restrict the voting rights of minorities. Democrats in Washington cannot just sit on the sidelines, and watch their counterparts in Republican-led states like Texas, go to war against GOPโ€™s efforts to restrict minority voting rights. Simply put, time has come for Democrats in Washington to finally do away with the filibuster, and institute a national voting standard geared towards making it easier for people to vote, as opposed to GOPโ€™s scheme of limiting access to the ballot box. As Judge Hidalgo correctly put it, congressional Democrats need to โ€œget off their chairs and get movingโ€ on a comprehensive federal voting rights law.

Parler Notified FBI 50 Times About Potential Violence On January 6th

$upport via Cash App

Rep Jackie Speier (D-CA) made a bombshell revelation on MSNBCโ€™s All In show(06/15/21), that the conservative social media network Parler, sent as many as 50 emails to the FBI, trying to warn them about potential violence on January 6th. Shockingly, none of Parlerโ€™s alarming emails made it to FBI Director Chris Wrayโ€™s desk. Rep Speier is a member of the House Oversight Committee which has been investigating Parler for itโ€™s role in the January 6th DC insurrection. The documents Parler provided the House Oversight Committee, clearly show that the conservative social media network did its part as far as notifying authorities, and that it was the FBI who dropped the ball.

Rep Speier told host Chris Hayes: โ€œI was stunned when it became known that Parler, a conservative social media website, contacted the FBI with emails fifty times, and those fifty emails never reached the Director[Chris Wray]. One of those emails talks about โ€˜Congress has to hear glass breaking, and doors being kicked in, and blood being shed. This is the time to get violent. We are at war.โ€™ Now, if Parlerโ€ฆthinks these are alarming and sends them to the FBI, and it doesnโ€™t get elevated, then weโ€™ve got a serious problem within the FBI in terms of assessing intelligence.โ€ How some intelligence analyst at the FBI decided that this was not serious enough, either for a concrete plan of action, or to be brought to Director Wrayโ€™s attention, is certainly grounds for a congressional investigation.

Prior to this bombshell revelation by Parler, the FBI had largely been spared from the publicโ€™s criticism of the intelligence failures that led to the insurrection. Most of the blame was pinned on the Capitol Police, the military(National Guard), and to some extent the Department of Homeland Security. This Parler revelation totally changes the ball game, and redirects the focus towards the FBI.

It bears pointing out that even before the Parler bombshell, people like Sen Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) were already raising a lot of questions as to why the FBI was not able to stop the DC insurrection, and the bureauโ€™s involvement in other scandals that plagued the Trump administration.

Bottom line folks, with every passing day, it becomes clearer and clearer that the January 6th DC insurrection was a totally preventable incident. All the warnings were out there for any curious person to pick up on. Why the people whose job it is to prevent such incidents from happening, either deliberately, or through negligence, ignored such clear warnings, is an issue the U.S. Congress must absolutely get to the bottom of. Congress owes this to the families who needlessly lost loved ones on that fateful day.

NYTโ€™s Maggie Haberman Ensnared In Feud Over Trump Inaugural Funds

$upport via Cash App

Melania Trump with Stephanie Winston Wolkoff

In case you missed it, the Trump inaugural saga has taken a new, and very interesting twist lately, with now Twitter-active Stephanie Winston Wolkoff taking a direct shot at Maggie Haberman and Ken Vogel of the New York Times(NYT), as being part of the plot to throw her under the bus.

Youโ€™ll remember that after the bombshell revelation that a staggering $40 million of Trumpโ€™s inaugural funds had mysteriously disappeared, there was an effort by Trumpโ€™s allies to pin the blame on then First Lady Melania Trumpโ€™s Senior Advisor Stephanie Winston Wolkoff. Stephanie Wolkoff talked about this effort to throw her under the bus at an appearance on MSNBCโ€™s Rachel Maddow show on September 1, 2020.

In the interview, a visibly upset Stephanie Wolkoff told host Maddow, that then First Lady Melania Trump basically told her she had to be the fall person for the Trump inaugural scandal. Wolkoff specifically said, โ€œMelania and the [Trump]White House had accused me of criminal activity, then publicly shamed and fired me, and made me their scapegoat. At that moment in time, thatโ€™s when I pressed record. She was no longer my friend, and she was willing to let them take me down, and she told me herself, that this is the way it has to be. She was advised by the attorneys at the White House that there was no other choice because there was a possible investigation into the presidential inauguration committeeโ€ฆ.At first I really did think maybe she would come to my aid? Maybe she would tell the truth? She turned her back, she did. She folded like a deck of cards., and Iโ€™m shocked she did it.โ€

This 05/23/2021 tweet however, shows that Stephanie Wolkoff is not only going after Trump and his allies in her effort to set the record straight regarding Trumpโ€™s inaugural, sheโ€™s also calling out NYTโ€™s Maggie Haberman and Ken Vogel, as being part of the plot to destroy her. This, if proven, could turn out to be a huge scandal unto itself, given the fact that many liberals still blame the New York Times for Trumpโ€™s ascension to the White House. Specifically, many liberals believe NYTโ€™s excessive coverage of the โ€œemail scandalโ€, weakened Hillary Clintonโ€™s campaign during the final stretch of the 2016 campaign.

Thereโ€™s no other way any reasonable person can interpret Stephanie Wolkoffโ€™s tweet other than NYTโ€™s Haberman and Vogel were doing Trumpโ€™s bidding when they wrote the referenced piece. This is especially so considering Wolkoffโ€™s invocation of โ€œSETUP. COVERUP. TAKEDOWNโ€ in her tweet. For the record, accusations of โ€œaccess journalismโ€ against then White House reporter for the New York Times, Maggie Haberman, persisted throughout Trumpโ€™s presidency. Stephanie Wolkoff is not the first person drawing that inference.

Bottom line folks, Yours Truly is not accusing Maggie Haberman or Ken Vogel of any wrongdoing. By all accounts, these are serious journalists, who exhibit a high level of professionalism(my personal opinion). What Yours Truly is simply pointing out, is what any reasonable person presented with Stephanie Wolkoffโ€™s recent tweet would conclude, and that is, Haberman and Vogel were in on the plot by Trumpโ€™s allies to throw her under the bus. It would be in everybodyโ€™s interest, especially Wolkoff who suffered greatly as a result of the Trump inaugural saga, if Haberman, Vogel or even the New York Times management, addressed this issue.

A Handy List Of 43 GOP Senators Who Voted To Acquit Trump Of Inciting DC Insurrection

The U.S. Senate voted Saturday February 13th, to acquit former President Donald J. Trump of inciting the January 6th 2021ย insurrection in Washington DC, which led toย five deaths, including two Capitol police officers, and an interruption of a live joint session of Congress.ย The incident, which mostly played out on live TV, will forever remain one of the lowest points of American democracy because it shattered one of the globally revered cornerstones of American democracyโ€“that regardless of who wins the election, one could always bet on a peaceful transfer of power.

While generally acknowledging that former President Trump did indeed incite the violent mob that descended upon the Capitol building as alleged in his House impeachment, 43 Republican Senators still voted to acquit him, hiding behind the jurisdictional argument that because Trump was no longer in office, the U.S. Senate had no jurisdiction over his trial.ย In other words, they acquitted Trump because they argued that because he had already left office, his entire Senate trial was unconstitutionalโ€“a very shaky legal argument.

It bears pointing out that Trumpโ€™s impeachment by the House for inciting DC insurrection happened onย January 13 2021, while he was still in office. The House sent the impeachment papers a few days later to the U.S. Senate, then under Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. There was enough time for the Senate, then under Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, to commence a Senate trial while Trump was still in office. Instead, McConnell made sure there would be no Senate trial until after Trumpโ€™s term expired on Jan 20, 2021.ย So itโ€™s quite disingenuous and insulting for Senator McConnell and his fellow Republicans who voted to acquit Trump, to now turn around and hide behind a jurisdictional loophole that they manufactured.ย The fact of the matter remains that Senate Republicans knew full well that Trumpโ€™s incitement of the DC riots was an impeachable offense, soย they createdย the jurisdictional loophole they could hide behind, as they carried out their goal from the beginningโ€“acquit Trump at all costs.

After the Senate vote, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued aย statementย which correctly summed up the decision by Republican Senators to acquit Trump:โ€œToday an overwhelming bipartisan vote to convict Donald Trump speaks to the courage of the United States Senate.ย  I salute the Republican Senators who voted their conscience and for our Country.ย  Other Senate Republicansโ€™ refusal to hold Trump accountable for igniting a violent insurrection to cling to power will go down as one of the darkest days and most dishonorable acts in our nationโ€™s history.โ€

Because we totally agree with Speaker Pelosi that the decision by these 43 GOP Senators to acquit Trump of inciting DC insurrection โ€œwill go down as one of the darkest days and most dishonorable acts in our nationโ€™s historyโ€œ, we have to do our traditionalย name and shameย for the sake of future generations.ย When our children and grandchildren read in History textbooks, that a group of U.S. Senators decided to acquit a U.S. President, even after he incited an insurrection which led to a mob storming the U.S. Capitol, leaving five people dead, it is only fair that they also see the names and faces of the shameful U.S. Senators behind such a horrendous decision.ย Hereโ€™s a handy list of the 43 shameful GOP Senators.

Bottom line folks, as horrible as Trumpโ€™s acquittal verdict was to people who love democracy worldwide, there may be a silver lining where Democrats are concerned.ย Yours Truly has repeatedly stated that the increasing radicalization of the Republican party could provide an opening for Democrats to go after corporations that traditionally sponsor the GOP.ย A healthy two-party system is good for American democracy, but given everything weโ€™ve witnessed so far with the GOP under Trump, it is debatable whether the GOP is even a political party anymore. This was true even before DC insurrection, but now it is totally impossible to ignore the issue. The radicalization within the GOP under Trump has gotten so bad, that some establishment Republicans are alreadyย mulling branching awayย to form a reasonable โ€œcenter-rightโ€ party. As we approach the 2022 elections, Democrats should seriously pressure corporations that traditionally donate to Republicans, by asking them to justify their continued funding of a party that has basically devolved into a Trump cult.ย Maybe, just maybe, guilt tripping major corporations into starving Trumpโ€™s GOP of major $$$, especially after DC insurrection, is the best way of slapping the Party of Lincoln back to normalcy.

Kushner Nixed National Testing Strategy Because he Thought Covid-19 Would Only Ravage Dem States

$upport via Cash App

A troubling Vanity Fair report says that at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, President Trumpโ€™s son-in-law Jared Kushner cobbled together a team which actually managed to come up with a decent national testing strategy for covid-19. Shockingly however, instead of the plan being rapidly deployed nationwide to curb the spread of the deadly virus, Kushner and some White House political operatives decided it would be politically advantageous for Trump, if they shelved the testing plan because the virus at that time was only ravaging blue/Democratic states like New York.

As unbelievable as this sounds, Kushner and the White House operatives believed it would be politically advantageous for Trump if they let people die in blue/Democratic states because they could turn around and blame Democratic Governors for incompetence in the run up to the November elections. The author of the Vanity Fair piece, Katherine Eban, told CNNโ€™s Erin Burnett;โ€œThere was a shared feeling which turned out to be spectacularly wrong, that the virus was receding, it was going to be under control, and at the time it was just the blue states where the virus was surging. So the idea was, why go through all the effort to surge up a national plan? It wasnโ€™t going to have political resonance, and if there was a political response that was needed, the blue state Governors could just be blamed..โ€

Youโ€™ll remember a recent Washington Post piece which said Trump, who had previously downplayed the seriousness of covid-19, even calling it a hoax at one point, changed his attitude towards the deadly virus only after senior White House officials presented him with data and maps showing that the virus is beginning to ravage โ€œour peopleโ€โ€“Trumpโ€™s base of rural White voters in Republican states.ย This means Trumpโ€™s bungled covid-19 response, which has led to more than 150,000 deaths so far and counting, is not only the result of a callous political decision by his son-in -law Kushner, but also the administrationโ€™s deep seated racism towards communities of color who Trump considers not โ€œour peopleโ€, and who data has consistently shown to disproportionately bear the brunt of covid-19, both in infection rates and deaths.ย A sad state of affairs indeed.

Bottom line folks, as it currently stands, the coronavirus pandemic is arguably one of the biggest crisis ever to befall the United States, especially if you consider the fact that it has claimed more than 150,000 lives in the U.S. in less than six months, led to levels of unemployment most of us have never witnessed in our lifetimes, dealt a severe blow to the U.S. economy leaving economic giants such as the airline industry teetering on the brink of collapse, changed the manner and format of our beloved professional sports leagues, just to mention but a few. Reasonable people will agree that given the seriousness of covid-19, the American public is totally justified in expecting that the Trump administration, without regard to partisan politics or race, will spare no resources, and do everything in itโ€™s power to fight the deadly coronavirus pandemic. Sadly, the Vanity Fair piece saying Kushner shelved a covid-19 national testing strategy for political reasons, and the Washington Post piece saying Trump has not been serious about the pandemic because itโ€™s not ravaging โ€œour peopleโ€, prove beyond any reasonable doubt that partisan politics and racism are guiding Trump administrationโ€™s covid-19 response. All Americans of good conscience must loudly rebuke this immoral and callous disregard for peopleโ€™s lives. We owe that to the families of the 150,000-plus people who have needlessly succumbed to covid-19.
