VP Harris Calls Out The Hypocrisy Of “Pro-Lifers” Who Consistently Vote Against Laws Meant to Financially Assist Parents

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris sat down for an extensive interview with CNN’s Dana Bash(06/27/22), where she discussed the bombshell Supreme Court decision striking down Roe v Wade, and other issues confronting the Biden administration as we approach the crucial midterm elections this Fall. One of the major highlights of the interview was when VP Harris called out the “abject obvious hypocrisy” of “pro-life” Republicans in Congress, who talk a big game about “right to life”, yet at every turn vote against measures intended to improve the financial situation of parents. It appears congressional Republicans only care about the life of the baby before they are actually born.

Asked by host Dana Bash whether the federal government will step in and help mothers who will be forced to have babies they can’t financially support, VP Harris responded(video at 0:10):“I’m so glad you raised that point because I’m going to say this, and here’s the abject obvious hypocrisy. Those people who say that they do not want to allow a woman to choose, to make the decision with her priest, with her rabbi, with her pastor, that instead the government is going to interfere and make the decision for her. Those same people are the ones who voted against the extension of the child tax credit, the same ones who voted against a tax cut for families to pay for child care, the same ones who are voting against paid family leave, the same ones who vote against putting resources into public schools. I was doing work on maternal mortality. We are pushing to say that for example, Medicaid should be extended for post-partum care from 2 months to 12 months. These are the same people who reject the notion of expansion of medicaid.”

Asked what the Biden administration can do in the form of executive action, VP Harris said that this is a democracy, and therefore Congress is the proper venue for effectively addressing issues related to the reproductive health of women. She said as it currently stands, “the numbers are not there” and so the filibuster remains an obstacle, even though Democrats control the White House, the Senate and the House. VP Harris said codifying Roe v Wade will become a reality if Democrats pick up more seats during the upcoming midterms–a tall order which I suspect will not sit well with already frustrated Dem voters.

Asked to weigh in on whether Supreme Court Justices Kavanaugh and Gorsuch lied under oath during their Senate confirmation hearings, VP Harris responded:“I never believed them. I didn’t believe them. That’s why I voted against them.” She added, “It was clear to me when I was sitting in that chair as a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee that they were very likely to do what they just did. That was my perspective, that was my opinion, and that’s why I voted like I did.”

As about what the Biden administration is doing to assist working families drowning under high inflation and gas prices, VP Harris pointed out that a lot of this has to do with Putin’s war in Ukraine, and that the Biden administration is working closely with our allies around the world to rectify the situation. She also pointed out the things the Biden administration is doing locally to ease the financial burden on working families, namely, lowering the cost of prescription drugs and child care.

Asked about the January 6th investigation, and whether given her background as a prosecutor, she would bring criminal charges against former President Trump, VP Harris cleverly dodged the question, saying jokingly, “As a former prosecutor, I never comment on another prosecutor’s case.”

Importantly, VP Harris finally settled the lingering rumors that keep popping up in various sections of the mainstream media about President Biden possibly opting out of 2024, or picking a different running mate. She gave host Dana Bash a plain an simple answer to that question: “Joe Biden is running for reelection, and I will be his ticket mate. Full stop.”

Hopefully this will put an end to the annoying MSM rumors about a broken Biden-Harris 2024 ticket. Seriously MSM, there are much more pressing issues to focus on–in 2022!!

Is Lt Gov Winsome Sears The New Feel-Good Republican Of Color?

$upport via Cash App

The Republican Party has for decades fought accusations of racism from Democrats and others who do not identify with the party. As a result, Republicans have always latched onto some highly impressive African-American in their midst, as the “feel-good” Republican of color, who the party then holds out as proof that it is not a racist party.

Some of the prominent and most recent “feel-good” Republicans of color include the late General Colin Powell, Condoleezza Rice, both of whom served as U.S. Secretary of State, former Oklahoma Congressman JC Watts who was a star quarterback for the Sooners, and even current Senator Tim Scott(R-SC)

Well, it appears, given the reaction to her stellar performance on CNN’s State of The Union, that we have a newly-minted feel-good Republican of color—one Winsome Sears from Virginia.

Here are just some of the reactions from Republicans, super excited about Winsome Sears’ performance on CNN’s State of The Union.

It will be interesting to see how the feel-good Republican of color status shapes Winsome Sears’ political career going forward. Will she run for President in 2024? Hmm. As Trump famously says, “We’ll see what happens.”

“Being A.O.C”: A CNN Special Featuring Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

CNN’s Dana Bash interviewing Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY)

CNN’s Dana Bash did an hour-long special on Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-NY) titled “BEING A.O.C”, which aired on 08/09/2021. As expected, “BEING A.O.C” ended up being quite an interesting and informative hour of television where viewers leaned a lot about AOC the young Latina, versus AOC the Congresswoman we are accustomed to seeing on TV. Yours Truly would have loved to drop the entire hour-long show here for your consumption, but because of copyright issues(the boatload of commercials), all Yours Truly can manage is chopping up the special and serving you the various segments, beginning with whether she plans to primary incumbent Dem Senator Schumer in 2022, and run for president in 2024.

AOC on why Fox News is so obsessed with her

AOC on the power of femininity

AOC on being misunderstood and hated by right wingers

AOC on striking a balance between her congressional duties and her desire to raise a family

AOC on being insulted by a Republican Congressman

AOC on taking down a powerful and loved Dem incumbent, and how this led to her cold reception by fellow Dems in Congress

Bottom line folks, AOC, like Trump(admit it libs), almost always makes for great TV, and Dana Bash’s special did not disappoint. Yours Truly gives Dana Bash an A+ grade(95%) instead of a full blown 100% grade because of this slight “ding”: She left out AOC’s stay in West Africa, where she reportedly even picked up the local language. I think viewers would have loved to hear about her experiences in Africa, and how they have affected who she is today.

Sen Susan Collins’ Insult To Dr. Christine Blasey Ford

Fresh from perpetrating her “No Corroboration” fraud on Americans to get Justice Brett Kavanaugh confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court, Sen Susan Collins(R-ME) showed up on CNN’s State of The Union to explain her highly suspicious YES vote. In her interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Senator Collins essentially repeated the fraudulent “No Corroboration” theory she had previously laid out in her 45 minute nationally televised speech Friday. The CNN State of The Union segment is available here but the relevant clip is below.

She however brought up a new concept in her interview with Dana Bash which Yours Truly considers a total insult to Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and that is, that Dr. Ford was assaulted by “someone else”, not by Kavanaugh. So you ask. “But @Emolclause, how is that an insult to Dr. Ford?” Here’s why. We all remember very well that during her sworn testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee Dr. Ford said very clearly that she was 100% certain that it was Kavanaugh who assaulted her. More importantly when asked by Senator Patrick Leahy(D-VT) what her strongest memory was of the decades old incident, Dr Ford responded that it was the “uproarious” laughter by Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge that still torments her to this date—Yours Truly talked about this in a previous post.

To believe Sen Collins’ new stance that “someone else” attacked Dr Ford, you also have to believe that the “uproarious” laughter Dr Ford tearfully testified torments her to this day either never happened or Mark Judge was laughing with “someone else”—a total insult. Think about that folks, in order to justify her fraudulent “No Corroboration” theory, Sen Collins now says Dr. Ford is being delusional when she talks about the “uproarious” laughter that still torments her to this day.

You don’t have to take Yours Truly’s word for it regarding Sen Collins’ insult to Dr. Ford. Dem Senator Mazie Hirono said the same thing when she appeared on the same show with Dana Bash.

Its also very important to point out that Dana Bash strangely never asked Senator Collins about Kavanaugh’s other accusers. Surely CNN’s Dana Bash knows that Dr Ford was not Kavanaugh’s only accuser. If Sen Collins thought there was “No Corroboration” re Dr. Ford , what does she think about Debbie Ramirez’s allegations? One would think MSM’s Dana Bash would challenge Sen Collins’ “No Corroboration” theory with questions about Ramirez and other accusers for example, Were they questioned by the FBI? If not, how can she credibly characterize the FBI investigation as “thorough” or “comprehensive”? and so on….

A lot of people waking up to watch Sen Collins’ first TV interview after the highly controversial Supreme Court confirmation expected these kinds of questions from MSM’s Dana Bash but predictably, it turned out be yet another terrible disappointment by the hapless MSM, which essentially gave Sen Collins a platform to justify her fraudulent “No Corroboration” theory.

Bottom line Sen Collins’ new stance that ” someone else” attacked Dr Ford is an insult to Dr Ford and indeed all other women survivors of sexual assault across the nation. It would be helpful if on her next interview someone in the MSM asks her about Ramirez and other Kavanaugh accusers and whether the supplemental FBI probe included them. More importantly the MSM should ask Sen Collins how she concluded that the FBI inquiry was “thorough” and “comprehensive” when it clearly left out a lot of willing witnesses—the aforementioned “No Corroboration” fraud.
