Eric Trump Discusses His Father’s Indictment On Fox News’ Hannity Show

Eric Trump appeared on Fox News’ Hannity show (03/30/23) moments after the bombshell revelation that a Manhattan grand jury had indicted his father for crimes related to the hush money payments he made to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

A visibly angry Eric Trump accused the Manhattan DA of among other things, abusing his power, telling host Hannity that he is neglecting rampant crime in New York to go after his father. He also cast his father as the target of an elaborate political witch hunt by both the Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and the New York Attorney General Leticia James.

Eric Trump specifically told host Hannity(2:08 ): “My father’s only crime was winning the 2016 election…From the time my father went down that escalator, we got subpoena after subpoena. We would have people like Alvin Bragg, Leticia James, and so many others, go out and campaign on the promise that they would take down a person, not knowing anything about them…These people are evil, they’re wicked, and is why people have lost trust in the system in the U.S. This is third world tactics.”

Eric Trump then threw in the political bias allegation saying(2:43 ): “You have Hunter Biden who has crack pictures on his laptop, you have Bill Clinton who is paying Paula Jones $850,000, you have Bill Clinton who is diddling interns in the White House in the Oval Office, you have Hillary Clinton who’s deleting 33,000 emails while under congressional subpoena, and no one says a damn thing about any of those people, but when my father’s leading by 35% in the polls, and they know he’s going to be the guy that Joe Biden…will ultimately…run against…that’s who they go after, right up against the statute of limitations…They will do anything to take the man out of the race…”

Interestingly, Eric Trump also alleged that his father’s prosecution was somehow orchestrated by billionaire Democratic super donor George Soros. He specifically said(5:40): “Americans see people like [George] Soros paying $1 million to get Alvin Bragg elected, and then this guy’s going out and doing this guy’s dirty work. People get it…That was their calling card. This was a mission. This is what they promised their donors. This is what they promised Soros that they would do. It’s why they received the big checks.”

He strangely concluded by saying his father “needed a pass”, which is interesting because it would appear to suggest that he is conceding his dad’s criminal conduct, but only lamenting the fact that he is not getting a break like DOJ presumably gave Hillary Clinton over the email saga. Hmm, very interesting argument indeed.

Bottom line folks, it is perfectly normal for Eric Trump to come out guns blazing in defense of his father over the newly disclosed indictments. The problem he might find himself in however, is that neither he, nor the public, currently knows exactly what allegations are laid out in the indictment(sealed). Eric’s reaction is perfectly understandable, but the wise option would be to wait for his dad’s court arraignment in a few days, where the allegations against him will be laid out in detail.

Maybe, just maybe, the indictment will lay out very serious allegations against his father, which will justify the DA’s/ grand jury’s actions, even in the eyes of Republicans.

Trump’s Indictment Over Stormy Daniels Hush Money Scheme Imminent

Karen Friedman Agnifilo, a former Chief Assistant DA at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office(under Cy Vance) dropped a bombshell on CNN’s OutFront show (03/13/23), telling host Erin Burnett that she expects former President Donald Trump to be indicted in Manhattan “in the next week or two”, for his role in the hush money case involving adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Interestingly, she added that Trump will also soon be hit with indictments from Fulton County Georgia(2020 election interference) and by the special counsel investigating the classified documents found at his Maralago residence.

Karen Friedman Agnifilo specifically told host Erin Burnett(0:49 ): “All indications are that he’s about to be indicted, I would say, in the next week or two.” She pointed to the statute of limitations, which is about to expire in May, as the reason why she believes an indictment from the Manhattan DA’s office is imminent.

As for other possible indictments against former President Trump, she said(  ): “I think you’re going to see Alvin Bragg, who’s the Manhattan DA, bringing the Stormy Daniels’ case first, then I think you’re going to potentially see the Fulton County Fani Willis in Georgia case, then I think[Special Counsel]Jack Smith is going to bring either the Maralago documents case and/or the Jan 6th insurrection.”

Crucially, even though former Assistant DA Agnifilo appears confident that an indictment against former President Trump by the Manhattan DA’s office is imminent, she told host Erin Burnett that given Trump’s litigious nature, it will be at least a year before we see a trial in the case. As host Erin Burnett correctly pointed out, a year from now, we’ll be in the thick and thin of the 2024 presidential nomination primaries.

Will the said indictment(s) from Manhattan DA’s office help or hurt Trump’s chances of securing the 2024 GOP presidential nomination? As Trump famously says, “We’ll see what happens.” The popular wisdom out there is that candidate Trump will benefit from any such indictments, but Yours Truly will go out on a limb and predict that if Trump is indeed criminally indicted, he will not, I repeat, not secure the 2024 GOP presidential nomination. You can take that to the bank.

Michael Avenatti Running For Prez In 2020

Attorney Michael Avenatti

Attorney Michael Avenatti who has become a household name for his fearless attacks on Trump and his long time lawyer Michael Cohen over their cobduct regarding pornstar Stormy Daniels(his client), has apparently made a July 4, 2018 announcement that he is willing to run for President in 2020 if Trump is the GOP nominee.

This is undoubtedly music to the ears of grassroots Dems who have been urging Avenatti to run for President (#Avenatti2020) because they believe his fearlessness towards Trump will work well for him in 2020 against the inevitable attacks by TeamTrump.  There are a lot of upsides to a potential #Avenatti2020 but Yours Truly will focus at the moment on the effect of Avenatti’s announcement on our #Dem2020Poll analysis.

When we first began the popular #Dem2020Poll, it was very clear that grassroots Dems were excited about Sen Kamala Harris and Rep Joe Kennedy III and wanted them to run together, with Harris on top of the ticket.

Roughly around mid-May 2018 we saw a shift towards Joe Biden with most grassroots Dems favoring either a Biden/Harris or a Biden/Kennedy ticket. Various iterations of #Dem2020Poll have shown that Biden/Harris is slightly popular than Biden/Kennedy but that overall grassroots Dems prefer Biden on top of the 2020 Dem presidential ticket(#BidenTheory)

With Avenatti officially in the 2020 mix, the question now becomes will he upend the prevailing #BidenTheory(topple Biden) or will grassroots Dems prefer him as Biden’s running mate? Also how will Avenatti’s entry affect the other two prominent contenders Sen Harris and Rep Kennedy III?

As always, Yours Truly with the vibrant #Dem2020Poll community will get to the bottom of all these pressing questions for the benefit of the DNC– and the #MSM who’ll never admit it but are deeply captivated by the highly civilized, exceptionally well informed #Dem2020Poll community.
