U.S. presidential candidate Cornel West (Green Party) appeared on CNN’s The Source show (07/13/23) where he among other things, addressed the charge that he’s playing the role of “spoiler” for incumbent President Joe Biden in the upcoming 2024 election. You’ll remember back in 2016, Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was blamed for helping Republican Donald Trump eke out wins in the key battleground states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, thus securing enough electoral votes to win the presidency. Coincidentally, the same Jill Stein is now Cornel West’s campaign manager, as former President Trump appears poised to be Biden’s Republican challenger in 2024.
Asked by host Kaitlan Collins about the spoiler charge, and the fact that Jill Stein, who many blame for sinking Hillary in 2024 is his campaign manager, West dismissed the charge, adding(2:50): “The Democratic Party is so unsocratic, as well as undemocratic…Examine yourself. Examine why it is, you did not speak to the issues of poor and working people, and therefore you lost. If you’d rather lose than change and examine yourself, then you’re going to have third parties popping out all over the place because people are suffering out here.”
Asked whether he plans to endorse President Biden if the presidential race gets too tight, Cornel West gave quite an interesting response–the kind you’d expect from a seasoned intellectual like him. He said both Trump and Biden are bad choices for the presidency because Trump is leading us towards a second civil war, and Biden is leading us towards a third world war (an obvious reference to Biden’s pro-Ukraine stance).
It remains to be seen what effect Cornel West’s presidential run will have on President Biden’s reelection prospects. Will West cost Biden the White House in 2024 like Jill Stein cost Hillary Clinton in 2016? Only time will tell. What’s impossible to ignore however is the Trump-Jill Stein nexus when it comes to U.S. presidential elections, especially given the fact that they are both very friendly with Russia’s dictator Vladimir Putin, an avowed U.S. foe. This image of Jill Stein dining with Putin and other Kremlin officials, formed the basis of the allegations that she was a spoiler candidate in 2016.
The 2022 midterm election will not only go down in history as one which produced the most unlikely outcome for the party in power, but also, one where the pollsters got it totally wrong. As a matter of fact, the pollsters got it so wrong, that the public is convinced, they were deliberately misled with the โred wave/tsunamiโ predictions. Itโs therefore only fair that the mainstream media journalists who got sucked into the red wave mass hysteria be named and shamed, and their actions memorialized for future referenceโsort of a handy list, if you will.
MSNBC did an interesting, and quite frankly, hilarious mashup of the โred waveโ mass hysteria that appeared to suck up even some well respected journalists from reputable networks. This shows how these faulty/fake polls can affect mainstream media coverage of elections, which can then have negative consequences, up to and including depressing voter turnout. This is therefore an issue that needs to be addressed head on as we approach the 2024 general elections.
Politicians are known to exaggerate, so they are not the subject of this naming and shaming. Our interest here is only on journalists, who ought to know better.
Fox Newsโ Steve Doocey(1:39): โYou know, your predictions of a red wave are accurate.โ
Unidentified Fox News Reporter(1:42):โโฆa red wave is coming.โ
Fox News star Anchor Laura Ingraham(1:44): โRed Wave Rising.โ This is the title of a whole segment Ingraham dedicated on the โred waveโ on 10/18/22. Not a good look, Laura, not a good look.
Unidentified Reporter on NewsMax(1:51): โSleepy Joe just guaranteed a red wave in Pennsylvania.โ
Fox Newsโ Dana Perino(2:01): โDemocrats are bracing for the worst case scenario, a red Tsunami.โ
Fox Newsโ Greg Gutfeld(2:04): โWe are officially on a red Tsunami watch.โ He was apparently referring to an Axios piece by Josh Kraushaar titled โRED TSUNAMI WATCH.โ Not a good look Josh, not a good look.
Fox Newsโ Clay Travis(2:09): โRed Tsunami growsโฆthat means red Tsunami.โ
Fox Newsโ Stephen Miller(2:16): โPoverty, joblessness, critical race theory, crazy gender ideology in our schools, we are going to see a red Tsunami.โ
Unidentified host of Fox Newsโ The Five show(2:34): โUp next, Elon Musk ready to ride the big red wave.โ
Fox Newsโ Steve Doocey(2:37): โElon Musk tweeted massive red wave.โ For the record, Musk did indeed tweet about a red wave. Other Fox News personalities who used this Elon Musk tweet to proclaim a โred waveโ were Tucker Carlson(biggest star on Fox), Maria Bartiromo, among others. Not a good look, Elon, not a good look.
Daily Wireโs Ben Shapiro(2:43): โYouโre about to see a red wave, that makes โDay After Tomorrowโ [the popular movie] look like nothing.โ
Leading Podcaster Joe Rogan(2:47): โThatโs going to be responsible for the red wave. I think the red wave thatโs coming is going to be like the elevator doors opening up in โThe Shining'[popular 80โs movie]โ
Daily Wireโs Ben Shapiro(2:55): โRogan said that the red wave is going to look like the elevator doors opening, and the blood pouring out of the elevator in โThe Shiningโ, that is correct, except itโs not going to be an elevator, itโs going to look more like โDeep Impact โ[popular movie], the tsunami at the end, but colored red.โ Good Lord have mercy!!
Fox News Contributor Dan Bongino(3:10): โRemember that Teo Leone โDeep Impactโ disaster movie? Thatโs the red wave tsunami that will come ashore.โ
Daily Wireโs Ben Shapiro(3:17): โItโs going to be a brutal week for the Democrats beginning on Tuesday.โ
Fox Newsโ Clay Travis(3:21): โFrankly, Iโve already DVR-ed CNN and MSNBC for election night, not because Iโm going to watch, but just because I want to enjoy the tears post-red tsumami.โ Hope youโre enjoying those DVRs, Clay.
Fox Newsโ Jesse Watters(0:05): โItโs going to be a wave election, and you [Democrats] gonna lose the Senate, Iโll bet you $1,000 now.โ
Fox Newsโ Lisa Boothe(0:12): โDemocrats are going to be crushed on November 8th because a red wave is coming.โ
Fox Newsโ Greg Gutfeld(0:16): โBetting that Joy will learn two new words on Tuesday, red wave.โ
Unidentified Fox Business host(0:21): โHow big could that looming red wave get?โ
Fox Businessโ Maria Bartiromo(0:23): โWe begin this Sunday morning with expectations of a red wave this Tuesday.โ
Fox News Contributor Marc Thiessen(0:39): โWeโve been hearing, โis it going to be a red wave?โ, โis it going to be a red tsunami?โ, I think itโs going to be a red hurricane.โ
Fox Newsโ Pete Hegseth(0:43): โWhen the red wave comes, and it is coming, Joe Bidenโs political utility is over.โ
Fox Newsโ John Roberts(0:48): โAre we in for a red wind here, or a red wave?โ
Fox Newsโ Martha MacCallum(0:51): โRed wave or red tsunami, what are you feeling today?โ
Fox Newsโ Jesse Watters(0:54): โAnd donโt listen to the lies they are spewing, that this could take daysโฆto know who won. This is total bs. A wave like this, we should know that night, basically, who won the Senate and the House, and even if it happens Wednesday into Thursday, itโs gravy.โ
Unidentified Fox News Reporter reporting on an actual tropical storm approaching Florida(1:09): โRight out the back door, Iโve got a tropical storm brewing right now. I think theyโre saying it could be a category one by the end of the day. However, let me tell you what is the storm, that red waveโฆโ Oh boy!!
Thereโs also this clip from MSNBCโs The Beat with Ari Melber which shows even journalists from CNN sucked into the โred waveโ mass hysteria. Not a good look, CNN, not a good look.
CNN & ABCโs Alyssa Farah Griffin(7:28): โA red wave is coming. Republicans are going to win the midtermsโฆโ
New York Postโs Karol Markowicz(7:32): โForget red wave, Iโm rooting for a red tsunami. โ
CNNโs Jake Tapper(7:34): โPoliticos with whom I spoke today all agree, as of now, a modest red wave at the very least, seems to be building.โ
Fox Newsโ Dana Perino(7:49): โSigns of a red wave are kind of getting bigger than ever, but not everybody in the media wants to hear that.โ Dana is a former White House Press Secretary.
Fox Newsโ Jesse Watters(7:55): โIt wasnโt looking like a red wave earlier in August, and now it looks like a tsunami.โ
As MSNBC host Ari Melber aptly summarized it (8:00): โThe point there is not that multiple news channels over there echo Fox and sound similar, as they make those predictions that have been proven falseโฆItโs bigger than the media or polls. This is a larger effort to hack your mind, and the discourse, and shape the ultimate turnout for the results in our democracy itselfโฆIt is legal to be sure, but itโs also misleading with real consequencesโฆIf you really have a huge bankable lead, you donโt need to hype it. You just turn your voters out and win, but so many Republican leaders know their slate of MAGA candidates lately, is very weakโฆSo Republicans concluded they needed to inflate their perceived support in the hopes that that might then create more support than they have actually haveโฆโ
Bottom line folks, this stuff is serious. New York Governor Kathy Hochul also addressed this fake poll issue, which featured prominently in her race. What Gov Hochul said about this serious issue lines up with the assessment by MSNBCโs Ari Melber.
Voters have a right to know which polling firms are credible, and those with a history of manipulating polls to aid campaigns. This will prevent reputable news channels from getting sucked into theseย โwaveโย hoaxes, as they report on elections.
For the record, Yours Truly never fell for the โred wave/tsunamiโ mass hysteria for one minute.
Canโt wait for doom & gloom MSMers with their โpollsโ next week.I know my Dems will kick @GOPโs a$$, especially in Senate races
The bombshell seditious conspiracy indictment of 11 members of the militia group OathKeepers following their involvement in the January 6th insurrection, is raising serious questions as to how far up the law enforcement, military, and intelligence food chain, the conspiracy went. Specifically, given the level of tactical military sophistication they displayed on January 6th, there are valid questions as to whether Trump-allied senior members of U.S. law enforcement, military, and intelligence apparatus, gave material support, or even worse, are still members of this dangerous militia group that attempted to violently overthrow the government. A segment on CNNโs Outfront with Erin Burnett(01/13/22) delved into this very topic.
Host Erin Burnett said in relevant part: โPrior planning, coordination, sedition, weapons. The 11 people charged today, were[in a]conspiracy, and they are not small fish, like many of the more than 700 people already charged, some of who may have been wrapped up in the moment. Not the case with these individuals. This group had a level of combat training, they were prepared to use force, they had a stash of weapons that they brought for that specific intent, and the question tonight isโฆnow youโve got a conspiracy, youโve got planning, youโve got it all laid out. How much higher does that go?โ
Any reasonable person presented with the OathKeepers indictment would reasonably conclude, as host Erin Burnett did, that given the sophistication of their January 6th operation, people higher up in the law enforcement, military, intelligence and even political food chain, were providing material support to the OathKeepers. Providing material support to this dangerous militia group would also necessarily imply that they are members of the groupโa scary thought indeed.
CNNโs Sara Sidner followed up with an in depth look at OathKeepers leader Stewart Rhodes in an appearance on New Day (01/14/22), where she dropped a bombshell that further bolsters the troubling prospect that the OathKeepers may have enjoyed material support from insiders within our law enforcement, military and intelligence ranks.
Sara Sidner said: โOne of the things the OathKeepers do, is they try and recruit either current or former military, current or former members of law enforcement, current or former people who have been part of the intelligence apparatus in the United States, whether it be the FBI , CIA, anybody that they can get and bring into the organization, and when you think about that, it means that they have tactical training to do something like this[January 6th], and to plan something like this.โ
This raises serious questions including but not limited to, what kind of arms and illegally acquired intelligence the OathKeepers currently have, whether in light of this indictment, itโs still okay to have active members of our law enforcement, military, and intelligence apparatus being active members of this violent militia group, etc.
Bottom line folks, Erin Burnettโs question as to how high up this conspiracy goes, is a very serious one, that needs to be seriously addressed by Congress, especially the January 6th Committee, and the mainstream media. For the record, this question has been raised before by concerned members of the public, including Yours Truly, but always treated as one requiring a voluntary answer from our law enforcement, military and intelligence brass. Given the seriousness of this OathKeepers indictment, this question should no longer be one that requires a voluntary answer. The mainstream media and Congress, preferably the January 6th Committee, must demand an answer from leaders in our law enforcement, military and intelligence agencies, as to how much the OathKeepers have infiltrated their ranks. This is a serious national security problem, and it should be treated as such. A major part of the January 6th Committeeโs mission is to prevent another January 6th-type insurrection. Reasonable people will agree that rooting out extremism within our law enforcement, military, and intelligence ranks will go a long way in fulfilling that mission.
Specific emphasis should be placed on Trumper states like Texas, which has a heavy OathKeepers presence, and was involved all the way to the top(AG Paxton and other political leaders) in Trumpโs efforts to overturn the 2020 election results. What other nefarious activities are the OathKeepers enlisted for in such states? Did the Texas political establishment provide material support to the OathKeepers, for their January 6th operation?

CNNโs Brianna Keilar did an interesting segment on her New Day show (10/21/2021), where she explored Rep Jim Jordanโs very shifty answers to questions about his conversations with then President Trump on January 6th 2021. It appears Rep Jim Jordanโs accounts of his conversations with Trump on that fateful day appear to be changing with every subsequent interview, meaning he may be hiding, or attempting to hide some details about his interactions with Trump on that day.
After stating categorically in previous interviews that he spoke to Trump on January 6th, but only after the insurrection, the Ohio Congressman appears to be changing his tune lately, suggesting that he spoke to Trump on January 6th, but he doesnโt know โwhen those conversations happened.โ Basically, he now doesnโt remember whether he spoke to Trump before or after the insurrection.
Any reasonable person presented with Rep Jim Jordanโs conflicting statements as to whether he spoke to Trump before or after the January 6th insurrection will arrive at the same conclusion, and that is, Rep Jim Jordan is attempting to hide details of his January 6th conversations with Trump from the public. Rep Jordanโs phone records on January 6th can solve this mystery instantly.
Bottom line folks, one doesnโt have to be an experienced investigator to deduce from the CNN segment that Rep Jordan should be a person of interest for the January 6th Commission. Maybe, just maybe, heโll remember the exact time he spoke to Trump on January 6th, if he is forced to testify under oath.

A troubling Vanity Fair report says that at the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, President Trumpโs son-in-law Jared Kushner cobbled together a team which actually managed to come up with a decent national testing strategy for covid-19. Shockingly however, instead of the plan being rapidly deployed nationwide to curb the spread of the deadly virus, Kushner and some White House political operatives decided it would be politically advantageous for Trump, if they shelved the testing plan because the virus at that time was only ravaging blue/Democratic states like New York.
As unbelievable as this sounds, Kushner and the White House operatives believed it would be politically advantageous for Trump if they let people die in blue/Democratic states because they could turn around and blame Democratic Governors for incompetence in the run up to the November elections. The author of the Vanity Fair piece, Katherine Eban, told CNNโs Erin Burnett;โThere was a shared feeling which turned out to be spectacularly wrong, that the virus was receding, it was going to be under control, and at the time it was just the blue states where the virus was surging. So the idea was, why go through all the effort to surge up a national plan? It wasnโt going to have political resonance, and if there was a political response that was needed, the blue state Governors could just be blamed..โ
Youโll remember a recent Washington Post piece which said Trump, who had previously downplayed the seriousness of covid-19, even calling it a hoax at one point, changed his attitude towards the deadly virus only after senior White House officials presented him with data and maps showing that the virus is beginning to ravage โour peopleโโTrumpโs base of rural White voters in Republican states.ย This means Trumpโs bungled covid-19 response, which has led to more than 150,000 deaths so far and counting, is not only the result of a callous political decision by his son-in -law Kushner, but also the administrationโs deep seated racism towards communities of color who Trump considers not โour peopleโ, and who data has consistently shown to disproportionately bear the brunt of covid-19, both in infection rates and deaths.ย A sad state of affairs indeed.
Bottom line folks, as it currently stands, the coronavirus pandemic is arguably one of the biggest crisis ever to befall the United States, especially if you consider the fact that it has claimed more than 150,000 lives in the U.S. in less than six months, led to levels of unemployment most of us have never witnessed in our lifetimes, dealt a severe blow to the U.S. economy leaving economic giants such as the airline industry teetering on the brink of collapse, changed the manner and format of our beloved professional sports leagues, just to mention but a few. Reasonable people will agree that given the seriousness of covid-19, the American public is totally justified in expecting that the Trump administration, without regard to partisan politics or race, will spare no resources, and do everything in itโs power to fight the deadly coronavirus pandemic. Sadly, the Vanity Fair piece saying Kushner shelved a covid-19 national testing strategy for political reasons, and the Washington Post piece saying Trump has not been serious about the pandemic because itโs not ravaging โour peopleโ, prove beyond any reasonable doubt that partisan politics and racism are guiding Trump administrationโs covid-19 response. All Americans of good conscience must loudly rebuke this immoral and callous disregard for peopleโs lives. We owe that to the families of the 150,000-plus people who have needlessly succumbed to covid-19.

CNN reports that prosecutors have subpoenaed the personal pilots of accused child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein in a move clearly aimed at corroborating victimsโ accounts and possibly charging other actors.
It has been known for decades that Epstein befriended a lot of very powerful people and it was just a matter of time before prosecutors started digging into who among them accompanied Epstein on his illicit missions. The flight logs maintained by Epsteinโs personal pilots are of course the perfect place for prosecutors to be digging for such information.
According to CNN reporter Kara Scannell, the relationship between Epstein and billionaire Leslie Wexner (the CEO of L Brandsโthe parent company of Victoriaโs Secret), has attracted the attention of prosecutors.
Appearing on the Saturday morning edition of CNNโs NewDay, Kara Scannell said, โThere are new details emerging about the relationship between L Brandโs CEO Leslie Wexner and Epstein. The New York Times is reporting how Epstein leveraged his relationship with the billionaire behind Victoriaโs Secret for money and access to young aspiring models. According to The Times, Wexner gave Epstein power of attorney over his finances allowing Epstein to sign Wexnerโs tax returns, borrow money in his name, and buy and sell properties. The financial ties between the men were also intertwined. According to The Times, Epstein bought at least two properties from Wexner including the New York mansion. Epstein also allegedly leveraged that friendship to gain access to women. According to a Santa Monica police report obtained by CNN, one woman said she met with Epstein in a California hotel room believing she was interviewing for a job as a Victoriaโs Secret catalogue model but once inside, the woman alleges Epstein groped herโฆโ
There is absolutely no question that Epsteinโs very close personal and business relationship with Wexner raises a lot of eyebrows and prosecutors are justifiably curious about it. Is Wexner so ensnared by Epsteinโs illicit conduct that he felt compelled to bow to his demands? Has Epstein been blackmailing Wexner using potentially compromising behavior the two have engaged in together over the years? These are the kind of questions beginning to pop up regarding the relationship between Epstein and Wexner and undoubtedly, there will be similar stories about other rich people Epstein dealt with, the most anticipated one being his relationship with Trump. CNN pointed out that Wexnerโs camp has denied any involvement with Epstein regarding the child sex trafficking allegations.
Bottom line, as troubling as the allegations involved in Epsteinโs child sex trafficking case are, his case presents a major test for the U.S. criminal justice system. For decades the charge has been levelled against the U.S. criminal justice systemโthat it is a two tier system that holds poor suspects to a very harsh standard while extending a lot of leniency to rich and powerful suspects, often times for more egregious crimes. Epsteinโs case is clearly one where very rich and powerful people have committed horrific crimes against the most vulnerable victimsโchildren. Will the U.S. criminal justice system rise up to the occasion and โthrow the booksโ at the rich suspects or will it be the usual โslap on the wristโ treatment the public has become accustomed to? Only time will tell or as Trump famously says, โWeโll see what happens.โ

President Donald J. Trumpโs Inauguration Ceremony, Jan 20, 2017
In case you missed it, a stunning segment on OutFrontCNN with Erin Burnett said that a staggering $40 million dollars of Trumpโs inaugural funds have just disappeared. Citing a Pro Publica report, host Erin Burnett said, โWe know that they[Trumpโs Inaugural Committee] raised $107 million from donorsโฆ.Of the $107 million, we to this day do not know where $40 million of it went. How is that possible?โ Erin Burnett is not alone in her outrage. A lot of Americans are shocked at how this level of public corruption has gone unanswered(no prosecution) for 2 years.
An even more troubling revelation from the bombshell OutFrontCNN segment is that Ivanka Trump who doubles up as Presidential daughter and Adviser apparently was in the middle of the price negotiations between the Trump Inaugural committee and the Trump Organization raising obvious conflict of interest questionsโself-dealing. The Trump Organization apparently extremely overcharged the Trump Inaugural Committee for rooms, meals and event space at Trump Hotel in DC and there are emails showing that Ivanka Trump was in on the price negotiations.
This is hands down one of the biggest stories of the week but it has strangely received very little mainstream media attention. It is mind-boggling how $40 million dollars can just disappear in thin airโoutright theft/embezzlementโ and two years later nobody is either sitting in jail for it, or fighting a criminal indictment. Can you imagine if this happened under the Obama administration and the Obama family was suspected of having embezzled inaugural funds?
This is by all objective standards a shocking case of public corruption. But you donโt have to take Yours Trulyโs word for it, listen to what Richard Painter, the Ethics Chief under the George W. Bush administration told OutFrontCNN host Erin Burnett; โItโs shocking. Somebodyโs stealing moneyโฆ.somebodyโs putting money in their own pocketโฆ$40 million dollars unaccounted for, that is a telltale sign of fraudโฆcriminal activity is very likely. If we had seen any amount of money missing in the Bush inaugural committee I would have called people into my office and said I want to find out exactly where that money is, and better find out fast because it could be a crime…โ
Bottom line folks when incidents of blatant corruption by public officials go on for this long without any legal consequences, the spotlight shifts from the corrupt act itself to who we are as a society. In this case it raises the question as to whether certain people are above the law. There is absolutely no way that two years after a suspected theft/embezzlement by members of any other previous U.S. administration, one that was widely reported by the mainstream media and has a lot of documentary evidence, would not have yielded indictments already.
