President Trumpโs latest tariffs have dealt a severe blow to Americaโs farmersโmany of whom form the backbone of his political base. By making U.S. agricultural exports more expensive abroad, the tariffs have driven key trading partners, especially China, to look elsewhere for soybeans and beef. The result: a mounting glut of unsold American farm goods and growing resentment in rural communities that once rallied behind the โAmerica Firstโ banner.
#BREAKING: Hayes: "Since May, China has responded to our tariffs by not purchasing a single soybean from this country. They are turning to other countries…countries like, yes you guessed it, Argentina, which, get this, LOWERED its own export tariffs on the crop LAST MONTH inโฆ pic.twitter.com/S11U5TDCxh
Nowhere is the impact clearer than in the soybean sector. For years, China was the single largest buyer of U.S. soybeans, accounting for over half of all American exports. But since the imposition of Trumpโs tariffs, Beijing has turned almost entirely to Argentina and Brazil to fill its soybean needs. The shift has devastated U.S. growers across the Midwestโstates like Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri that voted overwhelmingly for Trump in 2020 and again in 2024.
What makes the situation even more striking is Argentinaโs precarious economic state. The country teeters on the edge of financial collapse, yet President Javier Mileiโa populist and self-proclaimed ally of Trumpโhas benefited from a quiet U.S.-backed economic rescue package. That move, intended to stabilize Argentinaโs government, has inadvertently helped keep its agricultural exports flowingโat the direct expense of American farmers.
โThis feels like betrayal,โ said one Iowa soybean farmer interviewed by local media. โWe were told America First. But right now, it looks like Argentina first.โ
The same story is unfolding in the cattle industry. U.S. ranchers, already squeezed by high feed and fuel costs, now face declining demand from key international buyers. China and several Asian nations have ramped up imports of Argentine beef, taking advantage of lower prices and a favorable trade environment. For American ranchers, the optics of Washington bailing out a competitor while their own operations struggle are politically toxic.
As the 2026 midterms approach, this discontent threatens to boil over. Farmers who once viewed Trump as their champion are questioning whether his trade policiesโand his personal alliancesโreflect the economic nationalism he promised. In small-town coffee shops and agricultural forums across the Midwest, talk of a โfarmer revoltโ is no longer unthinkable.
The irony, of course, is that the very communities that helped fuel Trumpโs rise could now play a decisive role in blunting his political momentum. If the rural backlash takes root, it could reshape not just the midterms, but the broader balance of power in a Republican Party increasingly split between loyalty to Trump and frustration over his policies.
In short, Americaโs farm country is waking up to a sobering realization: โAmerica Firstโ may have sounded good on the campaign trailโbut the global farm economy tells a very different story.
Calls are growing for Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) to resign following the very insensitive social media post he put up right after news broke out that someone had assassinated a state lawmaker in Minnesota.
#BREAKING: Lawrence: "No one like @SenMikeLee was working in the U.S. Senate when I worked there, and #MikeLee DISGRACED himself this weekend…and every member of his Senate staff, with conduct the Senate has never seen before…"๐ณ pic.twitter.com/AWAtNatjiJ
Instead of waiting on further news from Minnesota about the motive of the shooter, Senator Lee took to X, and without evidence, claimed Marxism made the shooter commit the heinous crime.
News reports have since established that the shooter is a registered Republican, and a huge supporter of President Trumpโtotally contradicting Sen Leeโs attempt to depict him as some far left lunatic.
Beyond just being totally wrong on the facts surrounding the motive, people are also very upset with Senator Lee for his total lack of humanity regarding the issueโjumping right into politicizing the incident with zero regard whatsoever about the grieving family.
It will be interesting to see whether Senator Lee survives calls for his resignation. Notably, he has since taken down (deleted) his insensitive social media posts regarding the incident. Heโs also taking a lot of incoming from the media in his home state Utah. Will that prove be enough pressure to force him to step aside? Hmm, only time will tell.
In his opening remarks at the Senate confirmation hearings for incoming DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, GOP Senator Rand Paul, Chairman of the Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee, laid out brilliantly, the case as to why the behemoth that is DHS, begs for some serious oversight.
Senator Paul characterized DHS as a very powerful agency that was created after the 9/11 attacks to secure the homeland, but has since veered from its intended course, and into attacks against Americans simply exercising their free speech rights.
#BREAKING: @SenRandPaul : "Think about it, an agency [DHS] commanding over $110 BILLION annually, CAN'T account for its own activities. This is not just bureaucratic incompetence, it's emblematic of a deeper issue. An agency unsure of its own boundaries and commitments."๐ณ pic.twitter.com/m9C4drVSwe
Sen Paul: “Think about it, an agency [DHS] commanding over $110 billion annually, can’t account for its own activities. This is not just bureaucratic incompetence, it’s emblematic of a deeper issue. An agency unsure of its own boundaries and commitments.”
He went on to add that DHS is increasingly focusing on peopleโs social media posts, and even placing people on terrorism watchlists based on such postsโa total travesty.
Sen Paul for ๐: "Instead of focusing on critical threats like securing the southwest border, DHS has shifted its gaze INWARD, targeting LAW ABIDING Americans. DHS…has often used its vast powers to target Americans exercising their constitutional rights. It's become an agencyโฆ
Bottom line folks, the criticisms Senator Paul levels at DHS are well founded and longstanding. The only question now is whether he’ll follow through, and use his position as Senate Homeland Security Chair, to provide the much-needed oversight DHS cries for.
Sadly, if the past is anything to go by, Sen Paul’s oversight promises might devolve into his just using his lofty committee chair perch to score political points by digging into, idk, Hunter Biden files. Let’s hope that doesn’t end up being the case, but I’ll readily admit, I would not be surprised.
A bombshell segment on MSNBC’s Alex Wagner Tonight show (04/30/24) delved into a recent interview Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had with Time Magazine. As host Alex Wagner correctly pointed out, the biggest bombshell from the Time interview was Trump’s admission that if elected president again, he would be open to a draconian immigration policy that mirrors former President Eisenhower’s infamous “Operation Wetback.”
Time Magazine’s Eric Cortellessa(2:35): “You’ve said you’re gonna do this massive deportation operation. I want to know specifically how you plan to do that.”
Trump: “So, if you look back to the 1950s, [President] Dwight Eisenhower was very big on illegal immigration not coming to our country. And he did a massive deportation of people.”
Any reasonable person presented with Trump’s response would conclude, as host Alex Wagner did, that if elected president again, Trump intends to craft a draconian immigration policy that mirrors Eisenhower’s “Operation Wetback”.
It will be interesting to see how Hispanics, who Trump has successfully peeled off from the “reliable Democrats” tent, will react to this bombshell revelation. As host Wagner correctly pointed out, a lot of U.S. citizens of Mexican descent also got swept up in Eisenhower’s militarized “Operation Wetback” raids, and got deported illegally to Mexico.
Will a potential “Operation Wetback 2.0” be a game-changer with MAGA Hispanics in 2024, making them pull the lever for Biden? Hmm, as Trump famously says, “We’ll see what happens.”
I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out the fact that in the interview, Trump also appeared eager to expand law enforcement’s “qualified immunity” to a point where it is practically “absolute immunity”. This would dramatically roll back progress that has been made–and there has been progress–in the fight against police brutality, especially as it pertains to Black and Brown communities. Will this be a game-changer for the so-called BlacksForTrump? Hmm, we shall see.

Rep Marjorie Taylor-Greene(R-GA), the loudest opponent to Ukraine funding
A bombshell segment on Alex Wagner Tonight show (04/17/24), citing a Washington Post piece, confirmed what we’ve suspected all along, and that is, Putin’s Russia is behind the Republican Party’s opposition to efforts by Congress to provide funding for Ukraine, as it defends itself against a Russian invasion. The bombshell report essentially says that Rep Marjorie Taylor-Greene(R-GA), aptly nicknamed “Moscow Marge”, and other congressional Republicans currently opposed to Ukraine funding, are either willing or unwilling participants in Vladimir Putins propaganda campaign–a sad state of affairs indeed.
Host Alex Wagner(5:43): “…Ukraine and the vote for Ukraine funding has become a leverage point for Russia. The Washington Post has some explosive reporting…on newly revealed documents from inside Vladimir Putin’s government, documents which show how Russia is seeking to subvert western support for Ukraine and disrupt the domestic politics of the United States and European countries through propaganda campaigns and supporting isolationist and extremist policies. Russia is formenting division over Ukraine because it wants to weaken America’s role in the world. In particular, one Russian policy expert cited in one of these documents, specifically calls on Russia to continue to facilitate the coming to power of isolationist right-wing forces in America.”
Host Wagner then got very specific, adding, “Russia very much wants the Marjorie Taylor Greene’s to continue doing exactly what they are doing, because it serves Russia’s interests.”
Bottom line folks, host Alex Wagner and the Washington Post are absolutely correct. Trump GOP’s opposition to Ukraine funding is not rooted in some legitimate conservative ideology as they would like the public to believe. Instead, it is a shameless assist to Russia’s strongman Vladimir Putin, who they are banking on to help them win Congress and possibly the White House in 2024. You read that right, a win for Trump in 2024 is a win for Vladimir Putin.

Rep Troy Nehls (R-TX) in a verbal altercation with insurrectionists on 01/06/2021
Rep Troy Nehls (R-TX) has created a reputation for himself as one of former President Donald Trumpโs loudest advocates in Congress, right up there with Trumpโs most trusted lieutenants Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and others.
A major part of being one of former President Trumpโs trusted lieutenants is of course, oneโs willingness to go out in public and declare the 2020 election โrigged/stolenโ, and also playing down the violent January 6th insurrection as some kind of โpeaceful protest gone wrongโ.Rep Troy Nehls has of course, done his part to satisfy the prerequisites for appeasing former President Trumpโelection denialism and playing down January 6th.
Well, a new video has been released, which exposes Rep Troy Nehlโs shocking hypocrisy regarding the events that happened on January 6th 2021. In the video, Rep Nehls can be seen and heard arguing with some of the January 6th insurrectionistsโwho are apparently trying to violently break into Congressโand swearing that in his 30 years as a law enforcement officer in Texas, he had never witnessed what he was witnessing that day. Reasonable people will agree that this doesnโt jive with the โpeaceful protestโ narrative Rep Nehls and other Trump lieutenants have diligently dished out since 01/06/21.
Rep Nehls(0:53): โIโve been in law enforcement for 30 years, and Iโve never had people like this.โ One of the insurrectionists interjected, asking Rep Nehls to speak louder so he/they can hear what heโs trying to say.
Rep Nehls repeated: โIโve been in law enforcement in Texas for 30 years, and Iโve never seen people act like thisโฆIโm ashamedโฆโ One of the insurrectionists even tells Rep Nehls that if this insurrection doesnโt happen today, thereโs going to be a bigger civil war down the road. That clearly doesnโt jive with the โpeaceful protestโ narrative Rep Nehls, et al, have helped Trump push since 01/06/21.
Bottom line folks, itโs about time the media, and especially the Texas media, start demanding that Rep Nehls come clean and clarify his record regarding the January 6th insurrection. Simply put, he needs to apologize to the public for all the misleading statements he has made, trying to play down the violent January 6th insurrection. Simply put, the good folks of Fort Bend County (TX-22) deserve better.

In case you missed it, MSNBCโs Joe Scarborough dropped a bombshell on the 01/08/2024 edition of his Morning Joe Show, telling his viewers that back in the day, former President Trump kept Adolf Hitlerโs speeches by his bedside.
#BREAKING: Morning Joe: "We know Trump LOVES dictators, we know he ADMIRES dictators, we know…#IvanaTrump [told] @VanityFair, that he kept Adolf Hitler's speeches BY HIS BEDSIDE…"๐ณ๐ณ
I didn't know that. Why is Vanity Fair SILENT in light of "poisoning the blood"?๐ pic.twitter.com/pemyX7pIE2
This bombshell revelation by Scarborough was especially notable because it came on the heels of Trumpโs recent statement that migrants โpoison the bloodโ of Americans. Notable historians have pointed out that German dictator Adolf Hitler used similar rhetoric on his way to killing 6 million Jews in the 1930s.
Former President Trump when confronted by the media about his Hitler-sounding rhetoric, dismissed such questions saying he has never read Hitlerโs book Mein Kampf. Well, that may be true, but this bombshell revelation by Scarborough certainly raises fresh questions as to his admiration of the ruthless German dictator. Simply put, you donโt keep speeches of somebody you hate/despise on your bedside.
Bottom line as we approach the November 2024 general elections, the Trump-Hitler nexus must be fully explored. Vanity Fair owes the public an explanation as to why they’ve buried this story, even as questions about Trump-Hitler nexus continue to swirl

Interesting segment on MSNBC’s Alex Wagner Tonight show (01/19/24) delved into the conspiracy theories currently being spewed out there by right wing activists about the yet unsolved mystery surrounding the January 6th pipe bomb. Apparently, even sitting U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) is now pertaking in this conspiracy theory, per his recent social media post which Wagner cited.
Host Alex Wagner then dropped a bombshell on “constitutional conservative” Senator Lee’s strange fawning over former President Trump, including his latest endorsement of the former president for the upcoming 2024 election, saying it may all be about Senator Lee’s ambitions for the United States Supreme Court. Yeah, you read that right. Senator Lee may be angling for a Supreme Court seat.
You’ll remember that Senator Lee was also intricately involved in efforts by then outgoing President Trump to overturn the results of the 2020 election using the fake elector scheme.
Host Alex Wagner(2:49): “Senator Lee joins 25 of his Republican colleagues in the Senate, who have endorsed Donald Trump as of this evening, but his special distinction is that he was twice on Trump’s short list to be a Supreme Court justice. In 2018 Senator Lee interviewed for the seat that eventually went to Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and with Justice Clarence Thomas approaching 80, and Justice Samuel Alito hitting 74 this year, who knows, if Donald Trump is re-elected in November, the man who believes January 6th was an inside job could just get another crack at a seat on the highest court in the land.”
Bottom line folks, as much as I have been critical of “constitutional conservative” Senator Lee over his strange support of Trump despite his authoritarian tendencies, I readily admit that this Supreme Court ambition theory makes me ease up on him a little bit. I’m not saying I condone his strange support for authoritarian Trump, but that at least, it makes me understand why he’s doing it.

Former President Donald Trump’s town hall on CNN with Kaitlan Collins on 05/10/2023.
This is the only full video of the town hall available online, so Yours Truly had to create a page for it–a novelty.
**UPDATE: On 08/30/23, Deep State YouTube took down the original channel(Emoluments Clause) where this video was posted, and was the most popular by far. About time Congress reined in Big Tech’s speech suppression tactics, especially as we approach the 2024 general election**
**UPDATED on 09/17/23 to include Trump’s interview on MSNBC’s Meet The Press with new moderator Kristen Welker

The 2022 midterm election will not only go down in history as one which produced the most unlikely outcome for the party in power, but also, one where the pollsters got it totally wrong. As a matter of fact, the pollsters got it so wrong, that the public is convinced, they were deliberately misled with the โred wave/tsunamiโ predictions. Itโs therefore only fair that the mainstream media journalists who got sucked into the red wave mass hysteria be named and shamed, and their actions memorialized for future referenceโsort of a handy list, if you will.
MSNBC did an interesting, and quite frankly, hilarious mashup of the โred waveโ mass hysteria that appeared to suck up even some well respected journalists from reputable networks. This shows how these faulty/fake polls can affect mainstream media coverage of elections, which can then have negative consequences, up to and including depressing voter turnout. This is therefore an issue that needs to be addressed head on as we approach the 2024 general elections.
Politicians are known to exaggerate, so they are not the subject of this naming and shaming. Our interest here is only on journalists, who ought to know better.
Fox Newsโ Steve Doocey(1:39): โYou know, your predictions of a red wave are accurate.โ
Unidentified Fox News Reporter(1:42):โโฆa red wave is coming.โ
Fox News star Anchor Laura Ingraham(1:44): โRed Wave Rising.โ This is the title of a whole segment Ingraham dedicated on the โred waveโ on 10/18/22. Not a good look, Laura, not a good look.
Unidentified Reporter on NewsMax(1:51): โSleepy Joe just guaranteed a red wave in Pennsylvania.โ
Fox Newsโ Dana Perino(2:01): โDemocrats are bracing for the worst case scenario, a red Tsunami.โ
Fox Newsโ Greg Gutfeld(2:04): โWe are officially on a red Tsunami watch.โ He was apparently referring to an Axios piece by Josh Kraushaar titled โRED TSUNAMI WATCH.โ Not a good look Josh, not a good look.
Fox Newsโ Clay Travis(2:09): โRed Tsunami growsโฆthat means red Tsunami.โ
Fox Newsโ Stephen Miller(2:16): โPoverty, joblessness, critical race theory, crazy gender ideology in our schools, we are going to see a red Tsunami.โ
Unidentified host of Fox Newsโ The Five show(2:34): โUp next, Elon Musk ready to ride the big red wave.โ
Fox Newsโ Steve Doocey(2:37): โElon Musk tweeted massive red wave.โ For the record, Musk did indeed tweet about a red wave. Other Fox News personalities who used this Elon Musk tweet to proclaim a โred waveโ were Tucker Carlson(biggest star on Fox), Maria Bartiromo, among others. Not a good look, Elon, not a good look.
Daily Wireโs Ben Shapiro(2:43): โYouโre about to see a red wave, that makes โDay After Tomorrowโ [the popular movie] look like nothing.โ
Leading Podcaster Joe Rogan(2:47): โThatโs going to be responsible for the red wave. I think the red wave thatโs coming is going to be like the elevator doors opening up in โThe Shining'[popular 80โs movie]โ
Daily Wireโs Ben Shapiro(2:55): โRogan said that the red wave is going to look like the elevator doors opening, and the blood pouring out of the elevator in โThe Shiningโ, that is correct, except itโs not going to be an elevator, itโs going to look more like โDeep Impact โ[popular movie], the tsunami at the end, but colored red.โ Good Lord have mercy!!
Fox News Contributor Dan Bongino(3:10): โRemember that Teo Leone โDeep Impactโ disaster movie? Thatโs the red wave tsunami that will come ashore.โ
Daily Wireโs Ben Shapiro(3:17): โItโs going to be a brutal week for the Democrats beginning on Tuesday.โ
Fox Newsโ Clay Travis(3:21): โFrankly, Iโve already DVR-ed CNN and MSNBC for election night, not because Iโm going to watch, but just because I want to enjoy the tears post-red tsumami.โ Hope youโre enjoying those DVRs, Clay.
Fox Newsโ Jesse Watters(0:05): โItโs going to be a wave election, and you [Democrats] gonna lose the Senate, Iโll bet you $1,000 now.โ
Fox Newsโ Lisa Boothe(0:12): โDemocrats are going to be crushed on November 8th because a red wave is coming.โ
Fox Newsโ Greg Gutfeld(0:16): โBetting that Joy will learn two new words on Tuesday, red wave.โ
Unidentified Fox Business host(0:21): โHow big could that looming red wave get?โ
Fox Businessโ Maria Bartiromo(0:23): โWe begin this Sunday morning with expectations of a red wave this Tuesday.โ
Fox News Contributor Marc Thiessen(0:39): โWeโve been hearing, โis it going to be a red wave?โ, โis it going to be a red tsunami?โ, I think itโs going to be a red hurricane.โ
Fox Newsโ Pete Hegseth(0:43): โWhen the red wave comes, and it is coming, Joe Bidenโs political utility is over.โ
Fox Newsโ John Roberts(0:48): โAre we in for a red wind here, or a red wave?โ
Fox Newsโ Martha MacCallum(0:51): โRed wave or red tsunami, what are you feeling today?โ
Fox Newsโ Jesse Watters(0:54): โAnd donโt listen to the lies they are spewing, that this could take daysโฆto know who won. This is total bs. A wave like this, we should know that night, basically, who won the Senate and the House, and even if it happens Wednesday into Thursday, itโs gravy.โ
Unidentified Fox News Reporter reporting on an actual tropical storm approaching Florida(1:09): โRight out the back door, Iโve got a tropical storm brewing right now. I think theyโre saying it could be a category one by the end of the day. However, let me tell you what is the storm, that red waveโฆโ Oh boy!!
Thereโs also this clip from MSNBCโs The Beat with Ari Melber which shows even journalists from CNN sucked into the โred waveโ mass hysteria. Not a good look, CNN, not a good look.
CNN & ABCโs Alyssa Farah Griffin(7:28): โA red wave is coming. Republicans are going to win the midtermsโฆโ
New York Postโs Karol Markowicz(7:32): โForget red wave, Iโm rooting for a red tsunami. โ
CNNโs Jake Tapper(7:34): โPoliticos with whom I spoke today all agree, as of now, a modest red wave at the very least, seems to be building.โ
Fox Newsโ Dana Perino(7:49): โSigns of a red wave are kind of getting bigger than ever, but not everybody in the media wants to hear that.โ Dana is a former White House Press Secretary.
Fox Newsโ Jesse Watters(7:55): โIt wasnโt looking like a red wave earlier in August, and now it looks like a tsunami.โ
As MSNBC host Ari Melber aptly summarized it (8:00): โThe point there is not that multiple news channels over there echo Fox and sound similar, as they make those predictions that have been proven falseโฆItโs bigger than the media or polls. This is a larger effort to hack your mind, and the discourse, and shape the ultimate turnout for the results in our democracy itselfโฆIt is legal to be sure, but itโs also misleading with real consequencesโฆIf you really have a huge bankable lead, you donโt need to hype it. You just turn your voters out and win, but so many Republican leaders know their slate of MAGA candidates lately, is very weakโฆSo Republicans concluded they needed to inflate their perceived support in the hopes that that might then create more support than they have actually haveโฆโ
Bottom line folks, this stuff is serious. New York Governor Kathy Hochul also addressed this fake poll issue, which featured prominently in her race. What Gov Hochul said about this serious issue lines up with the assessment by MSNBCโs Ari Melber.
Voters have a right to know which polling firms are credible, and those with a history of manipulating polls to aid campaigns. This will prevent reputable news channels from getting sucked into theseย โwaveโย hoaxes, as they report on elections.
For the record, Yours Truly never fell for the โred wave/tsunamiโ mass hysteria for one minute.
Canโt wait for doom & gloom MSMers with their โpollsโ next week.I know my Dems will kick @GOPโs a$$, especially in Senate races
